EAD document - at least that's how it is in GA. The license will be valid till your EAD expiration date.
Also, in GA, if you are not a Citizen or a Permanent resident, you cannot renew our license online.
What if you are working on EAD on pending 485? What would be the acceptable document?

Whatever side you are on. There is no way you can liken kamikaze mission to a suicide. Kamikaze mission was of bravery, people willing to die for their countries -- that is the ultimate sacrifice. People committing suicide are just cowards who aren't strong enough to face life problems thrown at them. I am sure a lot of us here have lost investments too, but we are going to pick ourselves up and continue to make our lives -- not end it.

Got the approval notice today :) "Welcome to the United States of America" - ironically i have been in this country for a decade now! finally the "welcome" :)
It has been a very long journey!!! and a very frustrating one for the last few years... but the feeling that I now get is really liberating... first thing I did was thanked God for ending the seemingly endless wait that me and my wife (she didn't care as much) were in.
I'm already thinking of the things I want to do after this new found liberation... it includes showing the middle finger to those who have taken undue advantage of my status :cool: :D and i'm not taking it anymore... I'll be a new person starting Monday!
Just so there is no confusion... my PD was Feb 2003 EB3 but my wife's PD was EB2 April 2004... we got our freedom through her application. If anyone needs more info on how/what/when - i can share that (it had its up's and downs - mainly downs, but all's well that ends well)!
Lastly as a token of my real support to the cause of IV I will be donating a small amount. I have donated in the past... I have participated in conversations in the past... I was not so active on other fronts but I truly believe in this organizations effort to help the community. And God willing each one of you will get this freedom soon! God Bless!

Yes I wont be surprised if they come up after 2 years saying "all applicants who already have approved i-140(and retrogressed) should refile to verification and should be filed in "Premium Processing Only"......Hmm thats a juicy amount for the administration.

I am in the same boat, my LC and I-140 both approved . But employer not ready to share the copy of I-140. Is there any way to get the copy I-140.

221g means that additional processing is required - It can take about a month to get the visa stamp after you submit the docs. Did you submit the additional documents which were requested?

When I was hired last spring, I was not told about GC retrogression by my employer. I beleive they should have explained in graphic detail and if they done so I would not have left a good job and my home in Canada to move to an American nightmare.
I recently discovered that I have at least a 5 year wait as an EB-3. My teenage daughter will be too old to get a green card as a dependent and my wife is seriously depressed about not being allowed to work.
How many other people are as P-Oed as I am and is there a class action suit here?
They are legally not irresponsible....They very well know what is going on....
They are the ones who designed the whole doggone system....
At the worst you can say that they are ethically wrong...
They have no obligation to explain anything to you...
In fact some would tell you to wait for two years to file for green card and they would be well within their rights...
For a class action suit you need a credible argument.
The way the law is structured...we do not have a very good argument..
If you do find good argument let us know..I am sure there are members who would be interested...
Also who exactly would you sue ?? People have tried suing USCIS already with not much of success...
If you sue your employer..there goes your job...
The best recourse we have at present is through legislative efforts...

Folks - one must also realize that talking to administration and getting things dione costs a lot of money through advocacy and IV needs a lot of money.

Thank you for the info. You might be correct. But there is no way for us to know that our application got transfered or not. I am just assuming this is the case for me so that I can feel better and not to worry for a while. I filed on July 19th to NSC. 140 approved from NSC.

Yes we have received a similar RFE and can no longer go back to original civil surgeon. USCIS is very anal about TB test so if they don't get correctly documented result they issue an RFE. As per my lawyer many people are getting this type of RFE.
We went to a local civil surgeon and got whole test redone. Our civil surgeon did a physical but was able to get most of the vaccination records from last medical test. My suggestion will be to check with your local civil surgeon how he is willing to proceed. Most civil surgeons are not comfortable with signing documents for which someone else and would do the test again.
From what I learned from others is getting whole test done and submitting is fine. I am still in process of submitting my paper work for RFE so can not tell you USCIS's reaction for the same.
Bottom line is don't worry too much about this. but hurry up in getting an appointment with local civil surgeon as they have limited availability. :)

More than ever, in the Comprehensive Immigration Reform legislation, the role of the upcoming House-Senate Conference Committee will be critically important. Traditionally, once conference committee reaches an agreement, the floors of both Houses usually accepted the compromise report of the conference committee. It is thus critically important to learn who will be selected to the conference committee by each House. The key players in the selection are the Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate, Majority and Minority leaders in both Houses.
In the Senate, the floor has already decided how the conferees from the Senate will be selected. It proposes to send conferees at the ratio of 14 from the House and 12 from the Senate. On the Senate side, all the conferees will be selected from the Judiciary Committee at the ratio of 7 from the Republicans and 5 from the Democrats. On the Republican side, the Majority leader will select the seven Republican conferees and the Minority leader will select the five Democrat conferees. Without doubt, the Democrats will select the hardcore supporters of the CIR, but it is unclear who the Majority leader Bill Frist will pick on the Republican side. He may attempt to balance between the hardcore supporters and the hardcore opponents within the party. We just wish that the hardcore Republican opponents who posed a roadblock to the today's passage of the bill in the Senate as revealed in the amendment and final roll calls do not take a dominant power on the Republican side of the Senate delegaton. My 485 was apporved in July 2010 and have not recieved the card yet. I have contacted with couple of Service Request for non-delivery of permanent cards. First reply from USCIS was that my case was waiting for finger printing information from my local USICS was backlogged for appointments. So, I have told to wait for 60 days for either FP notice or physical green card. After 60 days, I have called them and another service request was created and the reply was completely irrelavant as they says my address was updated for my query about non-delivery of GC.
Is there any other escalation request that I can made for deliveriy the GC or the FP notice? whenever I called the USICS are creating the SR and have to wait for answers like above.
I have recieved the 485 approval notices (for both of us) on July itself but waiting for cards now. Are anyone with the same boat ? Or Is the unusual case?
