Ok,
I was looking at the bill by Arlen Specter.
Title III Section 312 on page 7 and Title 5 Section 501 on page 8 are definately something to keep an eye out for and channel our efforts in every which way to make sure that stay in the bill and are not thrown out by any committee, subcommitee etc. in House or Senate.
Any thoughts anyone?

I was pleasantly surprised, although looking back at it, this was going to happen. The Indian media would have immediately tried to cash in on the news and interview the people associated with the movie.
Nevertheless, this is good news, and I wonder if we should try to capitalize on it. How?
If IV can get "IV merchandise" (T shirts, caps, etc) signed by a Boman Irani or a Rajkumar Hirani (and perhaps also embossed with a standard message that we all included with the flowers), and put it up for sale (on ebay etc), it might help to
1. spread the word on this issue
2. raise money for IV!
What do you think? Is this feasible? If it is, we should go for it as nothing matches Bollywood when it comes to spreading a message.

I filed for my wife ( I have a Unique A # and so does my wife A#)
My WIFE filed a seperate 485 with her 140 for herself. Her A # here matches the previous step. We did it so that my name did not appear in both so there will be less chances for a cancellation. I will do follow to join incase my wife applns goes faster
We applied AP and EAD for both of us, using my Application.

I dont know why everybody started to spit on ohio law firm. They just pointed out some news that they got from AILA, right? Lets hope its just a rumor and USCIS doesn't proceed with this revised thing. I am pretty sure that wont happen. Dont worry guys, but dont blame everything on ohio firm. I saw this on several other law firms too.
Before IV, immigration-law used to be the website to get consolidated information related to immigration news, Also most of the updates posted are based on the AILA updates/alerts. It is not fair to get mad at this site, just because he has posts/news that are not liked by vast majority of folks like us. I wish to see the VB dates current, but ��. we all know now, what is real... Retrogression and waiting...

hmmm.. i had noticed that for couple of persons whose approval was done early got their passport immediately but in you case it is not true!! :confused: so I guess it is difficult to decide any pattern.. (i am not sure whether it is related to H1 approval of any specific center.. if we decide some template and ask everyone to post all such details that might help but i am not sure whether everyone will follow that template...) was there anything complex in your case which you think might have caused this problem?
my H1 approval was done in April 2007 and I have my appointment in Feb 1 st week. I will post my details as soon as my interview is done.. Good luck to you..

I called DOS and they r just saying that they have't gotten to verifying my data yet in PIMS coz it's not yet available.. it's been a month 13 days and counting since my visa appearance..

We have learned that in all probability House Judiciary committee will finishing marking up HR5882 in the next committee meeting. The bill is likely to be brought to the House floor the following week. We have been told that if our bill(s) pass the House, Senate will include the language of the bill(s) in another Senate bill that has majority support. We must admit that the time is shot but its still possible.
We request everyone that starting monday, please call all the members of Judiciary committee. Thanks to the members who have already made phone calls to the lawmaker's office. We request you to please call again to show your support starting Monday.

The flower campaign has been a spectacular success. Lets not dilute it or confuse it with food or pizza campaign. Lets the free flow of flower campaign contunue.
There is a symbolism of peaceful protest behind flowers, its universaly understood, what is the symbolism behind sending food, it might be misunderstood. Lets not overdo it.

They should have your info unless consulate hasn't sent it. they use your passport number as reference. so call again if they didn't use your passport number to search. in any case ping the consulate again.

Actually this time I asked my friend in US to call DOS, and he used the computerized answering system with my petition number and they did say that my H1-B petition has been approved. I don't know if I mispronounced/mistyped anything when I did it last week, but at least now I'm sure that it is on DOS' system. Thats the same thing I heard when I called KCC, that my petition was approved in April 2007. Or maybe I should've asked them if they've access to PIMS. It's frustrating man, I never thought at this stage of career, entry-level that is, I will be stalled by things like this. Well I hope in the end I can find a rational explanation to why things turned out the way they did.
For the new folks in the forum, its been 75 days and am still waiting for my H1 visa. I guess I should also talk to that Mexican Emabassy and see if my case shows up on the PIMS or not. The only problem with New Delhi embassy is that when I call them, all they say is that the case is still pending, and nothing else. I don't even know if I should curse them for being incompetent, or maybe that is all their job entails (I'm not being condescending here). Is it advisable for me to go to New Delhi personally? This is a mess, but as long as its in God's design, I'm ok with it. I just don't wanna feel later that if I had done this ... blah blah, then I could've expedited the whole stuff. That'd be a bummer. During the discussions on 1485 filing provisions we there were questions related to EB2, EB3 backlog numbers post 2007 july + Based on the recent information we got on pending numbers + our discussion on if EB2 will get current this year helps us understand how the last quarter will behave. This analysis is not official and is our own interpretation based on information we know. We do not wish to seek out specific information on visa bulletins. It has not been IV policy. VBkris has been involved with IV statistical analysis of data and has been in meetings with officials. He has come up with an explanation to this news and how it may play out for the last quarter. His interpretation makes sense to me and I have asked him to post on the forum.

Today only I realized that I filed G325 instead of G325A. I am still not in teh system. But I am v depressed. Any one aware of similar case and what is the possibilities?
i dont think thats an issue veerufs . there are some who did in past and idont think thats enough for return but not sure what other expenses dont get depressed.
